Overview
What is it?
In-situ, full body, long seat sling with integral head support and padded roll on leg edge for additional user comfort. Excellent bed transfer sling, giving a reclined patient transfer position. Additional support options for waist and chest available. Can also be provided with additional hip tapes for extra support to the hip area. This loop fixing sling has detachable tapes for greater comfort In-situ.
The long seat sling does not come with a commode aperture as standard, as the sling has been designed to consider those sensitive areas prone to pressure ulcers and skin-integrity issues. If a commode aperture is required, please contact our customer service team for further guidance.
The Silvalea In-situ sling range comes with soft binding as standard for greater user comfort.
Once patient has been transferred this sling can be left In-situ, subject to an appropriate risk assessment
Available material types:
Superfine® PLUS – High performance fabric offering superior comfort. SUITABLE FOR BATHING.
Superfine with Coolmax – This fabric is soft and comfortable with a 2 way stretch that moulds to the patient.
Superfine with Coolmax Double Layer – This fabric is soft and comfortable with a 2 way stretch that moulds to the patient.
Wash at 71°C
Tumble dry low heat (max 50°C)

Lift type-guide
Lift Type: KEY
Active – end user is active and can participate in transfer.
Passive Lift – end user can maintain passivity or has limited mobility.
Extensive – end user has limited body control and/or suffers from extreme extensions

Functional Independence Measure
The Functional Independence Measure (FIM) scale assesses physical and cognitive disability. This scale focuses on the burden of care – that is, the level of disability indicating the burden of caring for them.
